Urban Mycelium – Gesundheitstraße

Wuppertal, Germany

An existing urban wall becomes the host surface for a fragmented yellow fruiting body. Architectural breaks, technical elements and different surface structures interrupt the mushroom form, while white mycelial lines spread across the wall behind it.

The intervention treats the architecture not as a neutral canvas, but as an active part of the composition. Urban Mycelium appears to grow through and around the existing built environment.
